University of Mauritius ranks among the world’s best universities in the field of Tourism and Hospitality.

In May 2021, ShanghaiRanking, also known as the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), released its 2021 Global University ranking of academic subjects, where institutions are ranked in 54 subjects across Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences.  For the first time, the University of Mauritius has been ranked among the top universities in the world in the field of Tourism and Hospitality.  The ranking is based on research quality, measured by publications in leading scientific journals, international collaboration, and research awards.  An extract of UoM ranking is provided below and the full ranking can is available from http://www.shanghairanking.com/rankings/gras/2021/RS0513.

Dr. Robin Nunkoo, Associate Professor and the Head of the International Center for Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality (ICSTH) at the University of Mauritius is delighted by this performance and stated that it is testimony to the quality of research produced by the ICSTH.
