The Institute for International and Area Studies (IIAS) of Tsinghua University, China, held a seminar in collaboration with the Faculty of Law & Management (FLM), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) of the University of Mauritius, and the Confucius Institute at University of Mauritius, on Wednesday 12th June 2024, University of Mauritius (UoM).
The seminar was entitled ‘New Paths for a New Space Time’ and was held on a dual mode, i.e. face-to-face at the University of Mauritius and online for overseas participants. Dr Xiong Xinghan, Assistant Professor from IIAS of Tsinghua Unversity, China, led the seminar. Dr Xiong studied in France, the United States and worked in Madagascar for four years before coming to Mauritius in December 2022 as a visiting scholar. Dr Xiong interacted with academics of UoM during the course of his work.
