Confucius Institute at the University of Mauritius started training courses, in September 20th, 2021, in Mandarin Language for local employees and a Business Banking English Course for Chinese employees of Bank of China (Mauritius). This is the first time that CI-UoM launched vocational language training courses for local and Chinese employees of Chinese-funded enterprise.
The Business Banking English course was delivered by the Department of English Studies at the University of Mauritius, in collaboration with CI-UoM.
The two training programmes were successfully delivered and well received by the participants. The CEO of Bank of China (Mauritius), Mr Li Lianhong, hopes that the training programme could be extended, in the near future, to intermediate and advanced levels for all participants. He firmly believes that, in business, effective communication is critical for the success of corporates.
