The 6th edition of the “Seeds for the Future” programme started on 10th October 2022 and students from tertiary institutions of Mauritius that are part of the Huawei ICT Academy, namely, University of Mauritius (UOM), the University of Technology (UTM), the African Leadership University (ALU), Middlesex University Mauritius, Polytechnics Mauritius and University des Mascareignes, participated in the 8-day training programme. The students learn about product design and innovation, to work out solutions to technological problems, and professional skills in the ICT domain. The 40 selected participants are also proposed cultural immersion sessions to discover the richness of Chinese culture. Confucius Institute at University of Mauritius organized two traditional Chinese art activities, namely "Peking Opera mask painting" and "Paper cutting", at Huawei company from 11 to 12 October 2022.
CI-UoM endeavor to empower the youth of Mauritius with language skills and cultural awareness that enhance their employability. We are proud of the role we play in presenting students in Mauritius with this great opportunity of learning, sharing and growing together with partners from China.
