Chinese Language Proficiency Test at Confucius Institute at the University of Mauritius, March 2025

On March 9 (local time), the Confucius Institute at the University of Mauritius successfully organized the first Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) of 2025. The exam covered HSK Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4, with a total of 43 candidates participating.

To ensure the smooth conduct of the exams, the Confucius Institute further optimized the exam plan, refined the division of responsibilities, and meticulously arranged all aspects, including pre-exam registration, document preparation, process control, and test paper management. One week before the exam, the Confucius Institute organized a training session for all invigilators, focusing on the exam procedures and test venue management. Invigilators were required to clearly understand their duties and responsibilities, strictly adhere to invigilation protocols, and uphold exam discipline to ensure a rigorous and orderly process.

On the exam day, candidates arrived at the test venue in advance as required and entered in an orderly manner. During the exam, they adhered to the rules as invigilators strictly followed the training guidelines, assisted candidates in correctly filling out their answer sheets, and maintained order in the test rooms, ensuring the successful and smooth completion of the exam.

The HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) is an international standardized exam that assesses the ability of non-native speakers to use Chinese in daily life, study, and work. HSK scores have become an essential certification for international students applying for admission, graduation, and scholarship evaluations in China. The Confucius Institute at the University of Mauritius remains committed to supporting Chinese learners in Mauritius and will continue to provide high-quality Chinese language testing services for candidates.
