Since its establishment at the University of Mauritius in April 2026, the Ayurveda Chair has initiated and participated in a range of academic, research and outreach activities, including:
- Teaching and academic interaction with students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
- University-wide lectures and interdisciplinary academic engagements.
- Establishment of the Ayurveda Lounge during the International Day of Yoga celebrations.
- Development of proposals for professional development, certificate and skill-development programmes.
- Initiation of research in evidence-based Ayurveda, integrative health and Ayurveda Informatics/Artificial Intelligence.
- Student research mentoring and interdisciplinary project development.
- Engagement with University leadership and national stakeholders for strengthening Ayurveda education, research and capacity building.
- Public awareness and community outreach activities promoting preventive health and well-being.
- Academic and collaborative engagement with the Ministry of AYUSH, High Commission of India and relevant institutions in Mauritius.
