Representing The University of Mauritius at Real World Cryptography (RWC) 2026

It has been a great honor and privilege to have represented the University of Mauritius at the 2026 edition of Real World Cryptography (RCW) held in Taipei Taiwan from the 9th of March 2026 to the 11th of March 2026. Being selected for this opportunity was both an honor and a responsibility, as it allowed us to act as ambassadors for the university and the country itself while engaging with leading experts in their respective fields and the international community.

During the convention, we were able to attend and participate in various talks and workshops focused on the bleeding edge in advancements in the field of cryptography and their current and future implementations. These sessions proved to be enriching as it allowed us to gain a keen insight into how the field and the industry was evolving and spotting new emerging technologies that might prove to be major key players in the near future.

Beyond the academic and technical knowledge gained, this experience has significantly enhanced our skills, critical thinking abilities and ingenuity. Interacting with participants from different countries and backgrounds helped to broaden our perspectives and highlighted the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship especially from countries such as Mauritius.

Representing the University of Mauritius and  Mauritius itself also reinforced a sense of responsibility, duty and pride as it motivated us to engage more deeply with the field of cryptography and encourage local veterans and novices alike to strive to make meaningful contributions to this field, so that more Mauritian talents may shine on the international stage in the future and use this knowledge and technical knowhow to better local academic and professional communities alike.

Overall, attending Real World Cryptography was a transformative experience that not only expanded our knowledge but also strengthened our personal and professional growth. We are committed and dedicated to applying the insights gained and sharing them with others to help create a broader impact
