The Climate Show at the UoM
The University is privileged to have been approached by the Delegation of the European Union for a meaningful event aimed at raising awareness among younger generations about the pressing challenges of climate change: The Climate Show.
After its resounding success in Seychelles, Réunion, Comoros, and Madagascar, The Climate Show, which is a high profile and very unique event, will be presented at the University of Mauritius, Paul Octave Wiehe Auditorium - Réduit Campus.
03 March 2025: Inaugural session with selected invitees only.
04 - 05 March 2025: Open to UoM Students only, from 10.00hr to 12.00hr, and from 14.00hr to 16.00hr, each day.
Students who wish to attend one of the sessions must submit their names to their respective Faculty.
Organised under the auspices of the European Union and the Indian Ocean Commission, the Climate Show has already made a significant impact, engaging over 50,000 students across Europe. Its 2024 tour of the Indian Ocean Islands was equally successful, reaching nearly 3,000 students in Seychelles, Reunion, Comoros, and Madagascar. Through its immersive and interactive format—combining cinema, theatre, and active audience participation—The Climate Show has consistently inspired critical reflection and active engagement among young audiences, sensitising them to the urgent environmental issues of our time.
