The Office of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academia) under the leadership of Professor (Dr) Mohammad Issack Santally is responsible for overseeing all academic affairs and activities relating to teaching and learning, research and quality. Our office plays a critical role in driving the University towards achieving excellence in teaching and research and flourish as a research intensive University of international repute and global influence. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Pro- Vice-Chancellor (Academia) works collaboratively with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Planning & Resources), Deans of the Faculties, the Registrar and other Principal Officers.






The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academia) is responsible for the University's teaching and learning portfolio, programmes of study, curriculum development, academic standards, quality assurance and the quality of the students’ learning experience. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academia) works in close collaboration with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Planning & Resources), Deans of the Faculties, the Registrar and other main offices.
